Wiring Color Codes (APS-996a Alarm)

W = White R = Red

B = Black Y = Yellow

B-W = Black with White stripe G = Green

G-R = Green with Red stripe L = Blue

L-W = Blue with White stripe P = Purple

L-B = Blue with Black stripe BR = Brown

W-R = White with Red stripe O = Orange

R-W = Red with White stripe

G-W = Green with White stripe

W-B = White with Black stripe

GR-B = Grey with Black stripe

BR-B = Brown with Black stripe

G-O = Green with Orange stripe

BR-W = Brown with White stripe

BR-L = Brown with Blue stripe

G-B = Green with Black stripe

R-G = Red with Green stripe

APS-996A Tach Programming

 Ignition On

 Press and release the Valet button three times (siren chirps)

 Ignition to ACC (siren makes long chirp)

 Push and HOLD Valet button, start engine

 Parking lights flash on and off—let them flash maybe ten times, then

release button. Lights will come on steady, then go out after three

seconds

If you’re not getting the siren chirps at all, you might have the thick blue

ignition wire hooked up incorrectly.

If the chirps work, but the parking lights don’t flash when you start the engine,

you probably have the wrong tach wire, or a bad connection
